Voice Compliance for Broadband Providers

Vantage Point can assist with all aspects of voice service operations and requirements, starting with:

Environmental & Cultural Resource Requirements

Most state and federal broadband grants, including BEAD, require environmental and cultural resource impact assessments before construction can begin. Vantage Point helps providers navigate NEPA, Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), and related environmental and cultural review requirements so that projects stay compliant and funding is not at risk.
Vantage Point supports:

Properly performing required environmental and cultural resource evaluations is critical: failure to do so can result in forfeiture of grants, ineligibility for future funding, and enforcement actions.

Wireless Compliance

Vantage Point helps broadband providers and wireless operators navigate FCC wireless compliance requirements, licensing, and regulatory reporting. Our wireless compliance services start with a clear foundation of FCC licensing and filings, and extend into ongoing regulatory support tied to your network operations.

STIR/SHAKEN Support

STIR/SHAKEN requirements were initially set to take effect on June 30, 2021. However, voice providers with fewer than 100,000 access lines received an automatic extension until June 30, 2023, to implement STIR/SHAKEN on the IP portions of their network. Providers should note that compliance actions are still required during the extension period.

In a 13-minute video, Adam Fenski, PE, addresses the most frequently asked questions from providers regarding STIR/SHAKEN and robocall mitigation. You can watch the full video or use the “Chapters” feature to jump to specific questions:

  • If I have started to deploy STIR/SHAKEN, do I still need to certify and submit a robocall mitigation plan?
  • Do I need to incorporate third-party analytics-based robocall mitigation solutions into my plan?
  • What are the primary components of a robocall mitigation plan?
  • How should we handle multiple companies needing to submit a robocall mitigation plan?
  • What is the first step if I want to work with Vantage Point on my plan?

If you’re just getting started, Adam explains more about the extension and the Originating Robocall Mitigation Program Requirement here:
