The EBB is now the ACP. But our team’s commitment to you hasn’t changed.
ACP Dates of Effect Announced
Signed into law on November 15, 2021, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act established the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) with $14.2 billion in funding. This program expands and extends the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) starting December 31, 2021.
Service provider participation is voluntary, and existing EBB providers are not required to reapply, although a USCA ACP election notice will be needed.
On December 8, 2021, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) issued Order DA 21-1524 to guide the transition from the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) to the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). This order waived certain provisions under the Consolidated Appropriations Act rules for the EBB and provided additional clarity on the ACP transition while public rulemaking continues.
Key details from Vantage Point’s Consulting team are outlined in this memo.
