USAC Announced on September 2, 2026
SUMMARY
On September 2, 2026, the Universal Service Administration Company (USAC) announced September 8th is the cut-over date to utilize the SAM.gov banking information for Universal Service Fund (USF) invoice payments. Effective September 8, 2026, all USF invoices paid by USAC (High Cost, E-Rate, RHC, and Lifeline) will be disbursed to the provider’s SAM.gov bank account. High-Cost funds for carriers participating in the National Exchange Carrier Association (NECA) will continue to go to NECA, all other funds not designated to flow through NECA will now be disbursed to banking information in SAM.gov. NECA carriers, however, still need to complete the SAM.gov registration.
To determine if your company’s UEI is appropriately tied to your FCC Form 498, log into the USAC E-File Portal and review your information or go to the USAC Service Provider 498 UEI Confirmation tool.

- Plan for your company’s future annual SAM.gov registration renewal to avoid payment delays
Note: If a SAM.gov account has an expired registration or an invalid bank account, payments will not be disbursed until it is corrected.
