Includes challenge results filed by August 1, 2024 and deduplication for 40 states.
SUMMARY
On June 27, 2025, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released a Public Notice announcing the release of an updated interim eligible locations file for Enhanced Alternative Connect America Model (E-ACAM) support mechanism.
The updated file incorporates:
- All broadband availability challenges that were filed by August 1, 2024; and
- Ongoing deduplication process, which is complete in 40 states.
Deduplication is the result of the FCC working with NTIA and state broadband offices to determine the existence of enforceable commitments from other funding programs to deploy to currently unserved locations within E-ACAM areas, which would result in locations not being eligible for support.
The FCC will release an updated eligible location list and the methodology to recalculate support for E-ACAM support for those carriers whose total number of obligated locations decreases by more than 5% after deduplication is completed for the remaining states.
WHAT IMPACTS ARE ANTICIPATED
Providers will be able to utilize this interim file to project the potential E-ACAM impacts to final build-out obligations and funding.
