Keystone Communications Announces Mitchell Kuhn as new General Manager

KEYSTONE, IA, August 15, 2023

Keystone Communication’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce it has named Mitch Kuhn as its new General Manager effective August 2023. Kuhn succeeds Byran Kimm who will assume the role of Executive Vice President and will remain an active member of the team until his official retirement later this year.

“It’s exciting times in our industry and at Keystone Communications, and the Board and I are confident that Mitch is the right person to build on our positive company momentum,” said former GM, Byran Kimm. “Mitch is a seasoned leader and possesses the expertise and qualifications to continue to drive future success for Keystone.”

Kuhn comes to Keystone Communications with an extensive industry background and professional success. Kuhn’s most recent role was Plant Manager for Farmers Mutual Telephone in Shellsburg, IA where he was the lead in converting 4 ILEC exchanges from traditional copper plant to fiber. He also has spearheaded 3 CLECs builds transitioning from coax to fiber as well. Mitch worked in the industry in his early years as summer help and hired into the industry full time in 1993 with USA com. Mitch is a familiar face in the industry, and is looking forward to his new role as General Manager of Keystone Communications.
