Memo: FCC’s Supply Chain Data Collection
March 12, 2020
FCC’s Supply Chain Data Collection
All Universal Service Fund (USF) recipients that were eligible telecommunications carriers (ETCs) as of December 31, 2019 must respond to the mandatory Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Supply Chain Data Collection (Data Collection) due no later than April 22, 2020. Other USF and service providers that are not ETCs are also encouraged to participate in the Data Collection.
The FCC is requiring a Data Collection of all ETCs for inventory of Potentially Prohibited Equipment and Services. The Data Collection is a one-time filing to report the extent to which their networks contain or use Huawei Technologies Company (Huawei) and/or ZTE Corporation (ZTE) equipment and/or supported software services per the FCC’s Protecting Against National Security Threats to the Communications Supply Chain Report and Order, adopted in November 2019.
