Now includes routers produced in a foreign country.
SUMMARY
On March 23, 2026, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) updated its Covered List to include all consumer-grade routers produced in foreign countries.
The FCC’s guidance states that Supply Chain Annual Report filers need only report equipment or services obtained 60 days or more after the date they are added to the Covered List, therefore, reporting is not needed for consumer-grade routers produced in foreign countries this year. However, filers need to be prepared for next year’s filing.
THIS MAY APPLY TO YOU IF…
- You are a broadband provider
- You are an Advanced Communications Services Provider (≥ 200 kbps in either direction)
ACTION ITEMS & TIMELINE
- Supply Chain Annual Reports are due March 31, 2026
- ISPs who purchase, lease, or otherwise obtain foreign routers after March 23, 2026, may have additional Supply Chain reporting obligations next year
