Memo: ACP Funding Projected to Run Out in April 2024
January 11, 2024
The FCC will provide wind-down procedures.
FCC Chairwoman Rosenworcel released The Future of the Affordable Connectivity Program fact sheet this week. It is anticipated the funding for the program will run out in April 2024 unless Congress acts on the requested $6B requested by the Biden Administration for the ACP, or the $7B bipartisan bill, which was introduced Wednesday, January 10th. The FCC will identify the appropriate steps for 1700 service providers to notify the 23 million households currently participating in the program of billing changes.
