Larry Thompson appointed to FCC Working Group

Larry Thompson, CEO of Vantage Point Solutions, was recently appointed to serve on the Streamlining Federal Siting Working Group of the Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee (BDAC). Thompson was named to the Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee in April 2017. Since the committee’s inception, several working groups have been established to focus on developing solutions to specific challenges in accelerating broadband deployment.

The BDAC will provide advice and recommendations for the Commission on how to accelerate the deployment of high-speed internet access, particularly by reducing and/or removing regulatory barriers to infrastructure investment. The committee is also intended to provide an effective means for stakeholders with interests in this area to exchange ideas and develop recommendations for the Commission, which will in turn enhance the Commission’s ability to carry out its statutory responsibility to encourage broadband deployment to all Americans.
